Governance and Committees

The management structure will consist of three levels:

1. The Executive level

The Coordinator, the Project and the Financial Managers (Programme Management Team (PMT)) from AMU and Protisvalor Méditerranée.

2. The Operational level

The operational level will be include the following Committees:

The Initial Selection Committee:

Encompassing PR2I representatives, the coordinator of the project and 6 external experts, this Committee selects 20 thesis projects to be published and 20 candidates to match the thesis projects.

The Final Selection Committee:

The Final Selection Committee gathers the members of the Initial Selection Committee with additional members: 1 representative of the Regional Council, 1 representative of the non-academic partners, 1 external expert selected for his/her knowledge of the MSCA and the COFUND and the European Project Manager.

The Scientific and Training Supervisory Committee (STSC):

Led by the Programme coordinator (the Director of the Doctoral College) and composed of 1 representative of the 5 PR2I coordinators, 1 representative of the concerned Doctoral School, 1 representative of the non-academic partners, 1 external expert selected for his/her knowledge of the MSCA and the COFUND projects and the EPM. It will be responsible for ensuring the scientific and training follow-up of each fellow and will suggest, if needed, adequate reorientation/corrective measures to be agreed by the thesis Supervisor. The fellow and his/her supervisor will present their work to the STSC once a year.

The Ethics Review Committee:

Formed when necessary.  

3. The Advisory level

The General Assembly (GA) is composed of the coordinator, 1 representative per PR2I, 1 representative for each partner organisation, and 1 representative of the supervisors. The GA will meet at least once a year. The fellows will be invited to attend the annual meetings.

The GA will be informed on the progress of the programme, either on a legal, management, financial or scientific levels.

The General Assembly will:

  • Select the representative of the non-academic partners of the Final Selection Committe
  • Provide recommendations on the programme strategy and implementation (including training aspects notably to meet the partners’ needs)
  • Propose orientations for the dissemination strategy
